Terms of service
Last updated: 14 April 2026
1. Agreement
These terms govern use of CertAlert by organisations and authorised users. By using the service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and (where applicable) your organisation.
2. Service scope
CertAlert provides certification tracking, policy configuration, renewal workflows, and related compliance tooling. Features may evolve, and parts of the platform may be beta or limited during early release.
3. Customer responsibilities
- Maintain accurate workforce and certification records.
- Use the service lawfully and only for legitimate business purposes.
- Keep account credentials secure and restrict unauthorised access.
- Ensure lawful basis and transparency for personal data uploaded to CertAlert.
4. Data protection
Data protection obligations are described in the privacy notice and Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Customer organisations remain controllers for worker personal data, while CertAlert acts as processor for service delivery.
5. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, improve, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
6. Fees and billing
Paid plans (if enabled) are charged under the selected plan terms. Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use CertAlert to break the law, interfere with platform security, or process data you are not authorised to process.
8. Liability
CertAlert is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent allowed by law, we limit liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for serious breach, misuse, or legal requirements.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales unless mandatory local law applies otherwise.
