Cookie policy
Last updated: 19 April 2026
Overview
This policy describes how CertAlert uses cookies and similar technologies on certalertapp.com and related app URLs. For how we process personal data more broadly, see our Privacy notice.
Strictly necessary cookies
We use HTTP cookies that are essential to operate the service. They typically include session and authentication cookies so you can stay signed in securely, maintain your active organisation context, and protect accounts from abuse. These cookies are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
If you use CertAlert with email/password or OAuth sign-in, our hosting and auth layer may set or refresh cookies on each authenticated request. Blocking these cookies will prevent sign-in or core app features from working.
Analytics and marketing cookies
We do not run third-party advertising pixels on the public marketing site for behavioural profiling. If we add optional analytics or similar tools in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent before non-essential cookies are set.
Error reporting and diagnostics
Where error reporting is enabled (for example Sentry), the browser may send diagnostic payloads to our observability provider when an error occurs. That processing is described in general terms in the Privacy notice; it is separate from ad cookies.
Your choices
You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies. Doing so may limit sign-in and in-app features. For rights relating to personal data, see the Privacy notice.
